Weather forecasters say the region will be dry for the last day of dry weather for this winter

Denver weather: Dry day ahead Wednesday as temperatures rise

A winter storm is expected to move through the area Wednesday afternoon.

As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, Wednesday was a dry day with low temperatures in the mid-40s, according to the National Weather Service’s Albany County office.

That weather pattern continued during Wednesday’s afternoon rush-hour commute, as skies were overcast with a mix of blue sky and light winds — no rain was expected.

Temperatures are expected to warm slightly overnight into Thursday.

The NWS Albany office said the low temperature for Thursday would be 42 degrees, with a high of 48.

The last day of dry weather for this winter is Thursday.

Dry weather hits the region

The National Weather Service’s Albany office said Wednesday that the region would be dry for the last day of dry weather for this winter, with a high temperature in the low 30s.

A drier-than-normal pattern moving into the area Tuesday evening brought a mix of rain and fog to the Capital Region and parts of western New York, according to meteorologist David Dukas.

Dukas said the wet weather helped make the dry weather feel like it was “coming back” in the Capital Region.

“It’s just going to be a dry day tomorrow. It probably will be a little cooler, not as cold as we had Monday,” Dukas said. “It will feel a little like spring.”

The low will be around 42 degrees and the high will be about 48 — a degree of difference.
